HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE YOURSELF IN THREE WORDS?
Let’s make it four: sincere, sensitive, determined, and a BIG dreamer.
WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH SOCIAL MEDIA LIKE? HOW MUCH DO YOU FEEL LIKE IT INFLUENCES YOUR DAILY LIFE?
My relationship with social media is a mix of passion and challenge. On one hand, it’s a creative outlet where I can share my life, my passions, and connect with people who resonate with me. It has given me incredible opportunities and completely changed my life. On the other hand, it’s not always easy. Social media has a big influence on my daily life: I often feel the pressure to constantly create, stay relevant, and meet expectations, which can sometimes feel overwhelming. There are days when I struggle with self-esteem or fear of judgment, wondering if I’m doing enough or if I’m good enough. That said, I’m learning to find balance, focusing on authenticity and creating content that makes me feel good, without letting numbers or algorithms define my worth. It’s a work in progress, but I’m grateful for this journey.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START SHARING YOUR LIFE AND PASSIONS ON INSTAGRAM?
It was a mix of things that gave me the courage to take the leap. I live in a small provincial town and come from a family that has always struggled to make ends meet. I often felt invisible, like just ‘the girlfriend of.’ When I went out with my boyfriend, people would talk only to him, completely ignoring me. I had so many passions but no one to share them with. I spent hours scrolling on Instagram, dreaming of building my own community to talk about the things I love. But I thought that was something only people from wealthy families or with the right connections could achieve. Then I noticed that micro-influencers were starting to gain recognition, and I thought to myself, ‘What do I have to lose?’ So I gave it a shot, and here I am!
WHAT DOES COMMUNITY MEAN TO YOU, AND HOW DO YOU NURTURE IT BOTH ONLINE AND OFFLINE?
I have an incredible bond with my community, they support me and accept me for who I am. Online, we have a constant dialogue, which makes me feel very close to them. Offline, since I started Le Pilatesse, I’ve finally been able to create moments where we can meet in person and share more intimate and meaningful experiences together.
WHAT LED YOU TO CREATE LE PILATESSE?
Le Pilatesse was born at a time when I wasn’t feeling well, either mentally or physically. I had been advised to start exercising consistently, but consistency wasn’t exactly my strong suit. So, I turned to my community for support, and we decided to start practising something together. That’s when I met our instructor, and everything started from there.
CAN YOU SHARE A MEMORABLE MOMENT OR ACHIEVEMENT FROM ONE OF YOUR EVENTS?
The Pilates session followed by a picnic in the park that I organised last spring was a special one. Each girl brought her own lunch, and we ended up having deep and personal conversations while sitting on the grass under a tree. Moments like these enrich me as a person and make me realise that if the people who follow me are so empathetic and thoughtful, maybe I am too.
WHAT ROLE DOES SUSTAINABILITY PLAY IN YOUR FASHION AND BEAUTY CHOICES?
Sustainability has become very important to me lately. I’m giving a lot of value to Made in Italy and small brands that align with my values. Of course, it’s all about balance—I still buy a few things from fast fashion, but very rarely, and I feel good about the steps I’m taking to make more conscious choices.
WHAT ARE YOUR DREAMS FOR LE PILATESSE AND YOUR PERSONAL JOURNEY?
I’d love to create more and more events that bring the community together, not just for Pilates but to make it a sort of ‘club’ where people can meet new friends and do activities that help them relax and disconnect. As for myself, I’m still figuring it out. I feel like I’m in constant change and evolution, and I’m not yet sure who I am or who I want to become.
EACH ONE OF US IS CONSTANTLY LIVING A GENTLE REVOLUTION. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURS?
My gentle revolution is about learning to embrace my vulnerability and turn it into strength. I’m still working on fully accepting myself, flaws and all, but sharing my journey with others helps me so much. For me, it means overcoming the fear of judgment, finding the courage to follow my passions, and giving meaning to what I do, especially for those who see themselves in my story. Every day, I try to take small steps to free myself from society’s expectations and show that you don’t need perfection or privilege to create something beautiful. My revolution is rooted in authenticity, inner strength, and the belief that small, honest steps can make a big difference.
